Sa route ne néglige pas pour autant les projets chantés en français avec lesquels il obtient de beaux succès commerciaux (Thomas Dutronc, Camélia Jordana, Sébastien Tellier) ou critiques (Arnaud Fleurent Didier, As Dragon).
